THE LATEST VoIP COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY FOR THE MOST MODERN STUDIOS OF THIS NATION-WIDE BROADCASTER

Radiotelevizija Slovenija (Slovenia Radio-Television, in English) is the country’s public broadcasting organism. It is based in the capital, Ljubljana, and also has important production centers at Koper and Maribor. Founded as a radio station back in 1928, it started to broadcast TV signal as well in 1958. From 2002, it also provides multimedia services through Internet. Currently, RTV Slovenia counts on 2 national TV programs and 3 regional TV channels, as well as 3 nation-wide radio signals and two special channels for the Italian border area and for a part of the population having Hungarian origin.

RTV Slovenia programming provides a plural contents offer, with important informative contents, while trying to maximize the listeners’ participation. It has always been a satisfied AEQ talk-show systems user and now, as part of the central radio headquarters renewal tasks, AEQ SYSTEL IP new platform has been selected to operate in VoIP networks.

AEQ SYSTEL IP is a broadcast telephony system with multi-conference that drastically reduces the communications costs, significantly enhances audio quality and improves flexibility and integration with each station’s own phone system. It supposes a small investment that is quickly paid off. Also, SYSTEL IP allows for the connection of broadcast telephony to the currently installed corporate IP-based PBX, avoiding the need for exclusive, conventional broadcast phone lines.

AEQ SYSTEL IP is also based on a digital matrix using only IP lines, with flexible and dynamic control, paralleling the call queue and the multiplex-console formats for the best convenience of all users.

The complete project has been coordinated by AEQ Sales Manager for this area, Mr. Sergey Alekseev, in close collaboration with Mr. Dusan Gajic from MTD, the company’s local partner for 15 years.
